Your Safety First

Safety Tips

Stay protected on every transaction. Follow these guidelines to buy and sell safely on ASIDZI. Your security is our priority.

Important Warning

ASIDZI never asks for payment details or passwords. If anyone claims to be from ASIDZI and asks for money — it is a scam. Report it immediately.

Meeting & In-Person Safety

✓ Do

Meet in a busy public place

Markets, malls, petrol stations

Always meet at a busy, well-lit location during peak hours. Choose places where many people are around — a market, shopping centre, or bank entrance are ideal spots.

✓ Do

Bring a friend or family member

Never go alone to meet a stranger

Always bring someone you trust, especially for high-value transactions like electronics, vehicles, or real estate. Two people are always safer than one.

⚠ Caution

Avoid nighttime or remote meetings

Daylight hours only

Schedule meetings during daylight. Refuse any request to meet at night, in deserted areas, private homes you don't know, or any place that makes you feel uneasy.

Payment Safety

✓ Do

Inspect the item before paying

Test, verify, then pay

Physically examine the item before handing over any money. Test electronics, check for damage, and confirm the item matches the listing. Never pay for something you haven't seen.

✗ Don't

Never send money in advance

No wire transfers · No Mobile Money · No Western Union

Never send payment via bank transfer, Mobile Money (Flooz, T-Money), Western Union, or any remote method to someone you haven't verified in person. If they insist, walk away — it's a scam.

⚠ Scam

Beware of prices that seem too good to be true

Classic fraud tactic

Extremely low prices are a common lure. Scammers attract buyers with unrealistically cheap listings, collect a deposit or full payment, then vanish. Always compare prices with similar listings before buying.

✓ Do

Ask for a receipt for every transaction

Protect yourself legally

Always request a written receipt or proof of payment. This is important for resolving any future disputes about the item or the sale agreement.

Account & Online Security

✓ Do

Protect your login credentials

Use a strong, unique password

Never share your password or account details — not even with someone claiming to be ASIDZI support. Use a strong password with letters, numbers and symbols, and never reuse passwords from other sites.

✓ Do

Keep conversations on the platform

Preserve a record of all exchanges

Use ASIDZI's built-in messaging whenever possible. This keeps a full record of all communications and makes it easier to resolve disputes. Be wary if someone urgently wants to move the conversation to WhatsApp or another app.

⚠ Caution

Watch out for fake links & phishing

Verify every URL before clicking

Do not click on suspicious links sent by buyers or sellers. Always verify you are on www.asidzi.com before entering any personal information or payment details. Fake sites are designed to look identical.

Reporting & Red Flags

⚠ Warning

Recognise common red flags

Trust your instincts

Be alert to: pressure to decide quickly, requests for unusual payment methods, sellers abroad who can't meet in person, vague or inconsistent answers, photos that look copied from other websites.

✓ Do

Report suspicious ads & users immediately

Help protect the whole community

If a listing seems fraudulent or a user is pressuring you, use the report flag on the ad page or contact us directly. Your report protects you and every other buyer and seller on ASIDZI.

✓ Do

Document everything — screenshots & receipts

Evidence matters in disputes

Screenshot conversations, save listing details, and keep all receipts. If something goes wrong, having clear evidence will help you resolve the issue — whether with ASIDZI, local authorities, or a consumer protection service.
